AppleGlot is the only mac-specific incremental localisation tool which is directly supported by Apple. Not only that, it's free and comes with dictionaries full of the official translations sanctioned by Apple.
AppleGlot, however, is designed to be part of a high volume localisation process. As a result, it can be cumbersome to use for smaller projects.
And that's where DropGlot comes in.
DropGlot and individual Bundles
Drag and drop a file or bundle on DropGlot and it will automatically build an AppleGlot environment, populate it, trigger an initial pass and open the resulting WorkGlossary - taking the hassle out of using AppleGlot with individual products.
DropGlot and Multiple Bundles
Drop both old and new versions of the same bundle on DropGlot and it will automatically build the environment and populate it so that as much information as possible will be pulled from the older version.
DropGlot and WorkGlossary files
When DropGlot receives a WorkGlossary file, it checks to see if it is part of an AppleGlot environment. If it is, DropGlot triggers an incremental pass in AppleGlot and automatically opens the new WorkGlossary ready for you to continue working.
Donations And Feedback
To extend DropGlot and develop other free localisation tools we need your help. You can do so by sending us some feedback. Let us know what you like, or don't like about DropGlot or any of our products. If there's a feature you'd like to see added to DropGlot, or if there's some localisation related tool that you'd like to see developed, email us. Don't worry if it seems obvious - the more times we hear about something the more important it becomes to us!
Alternatively, you can directly support our efforts to provide Free Mac Localisation Tools by sending in a donation. Simply click on the PayPal image to donate any amount you like.
